The great exhibition on the history of urban art
IN MY NAME above the show, the international Urban Art exhibition scheduled from 19 July to 3 November at the Ex Deposito Carburanti in Monopoli, arrives at the BIT in Milan on 4 February with an unprecedented preview: on the occasion of the press conference of the Municipality of Monopoli at the BIT, the artistic director and artist of the exhibition, Made514, performed a site specific action open to the public.
Organized by Unlike Unconventional Events in collaboration with the Municipality of Monopoli, under the sign of an unconventional experience, IN MY NAME offers the visitor the opportunity to see for the first time ever the collective exhibition of a large group of Urban Artists .
The focus of IN MY NAME is to take stock of the history of Urban Art and its current evolution after about half a century from its birth in the United States, thanks to the presence of artists who are the germinal branches of this discipline and who have marked the development in Europe, maintaining the originality of intent and the never conventional imprint, always faithful to itself and constantly open to experimentation.
From 19 July to 3 November IN MY NAME will occupy the former fuel depot in Monopoli, adjacent to the train station and also reachable on foot from the historic centre. The exhibition combines great post-industrial charm with a variety and a highly significant number of works, building a free space of experience in which the visitor can pass by crossing visions, colours, techniques and messages.
